will be greeted by our helpful guide. The guide will serve as a translator, help with luggage, and assist with the car transfer to your hotel.

CITY TOUR

Breakfast in the morning prepares you for a city tour of Cuenca, considered by many the most beautiful in all of Ecuador. Our walk will include a visit to the flower market, the cathedral, Calderon Park, the church of La Merced and its convent, among other attractions.
We will return you to your hotel midday, for optional lunch, dinner and free afternoon/evening.
INGAPIRCA INCA-CAÑARI RUINS WITH LUNCH
(Any day, Full day)After breakfast the tour will depart for the archeological ruins of Ingapirca to visit one of the most complex archeological treasures
found in all of Ecuador. These ruins once belonged to the Cañari culture, one of the most powerful presences of their era. The complex was complete with patios, terraces, temples, houses and a castle. Nowadays there is a museum where we can find a scale model of the whole complex.
Lunch will be optional midday, and we will return to Cuenca in the afternoon. The tour will drop you at your hotel for optional dinner and free evening.

GUALACEO/CHORDELEG WITH LUNCH
(Any day, Full day)We will begin th
e day with breakfast before our departure toward the city of Gualaceo. Located in a beautiful and fruitful valley, Gualaceo boasts a subtropical climate, rich folklore and attractive handicrafts. The most important goods are Ikat woven articles and shawls embroidered by hand. In the main square one can observe traditional cholas cuencanas embroiling hats with straw wraps.
We will continue the trip toward the city of Chordeleg, located
just 10 minutes away from Gualaceo. The artisans of this region offer products such as the Ikats’ goods, shawls, ponchos, embroidered hats and jewels. In this place one can buy gold and silver jewels of great quality for excellent prices. Additionally, visitors may visit the ethnographic museum, located in the central patio of an old town building.
We will return to Cuenca in the early afternoon for optional lunch, dinner and a free afternoon/evening in the city.
CAJAS NATIONAL PARK WITH LUNCH
Just after breakfast, the tour will depart, heading northwest towards Cajas National Park. After a short drive, arrival in Cajas National Park will allow us to take part in different activities such as hiking, fishing,
bird-watching, viewing flora and fauna, and so on. We can visit the Interpretation Center placed in La Toreadora Lake (the biggest and the most important in the whole complex). Here we will see pictures and interpretations of the park.
In the early afternoon we will return to the city of Cuenca, transferring you to your hotel for an optional lunch and dinner, as well as free evening in the city.
