COTOPAXI VOLCANO AND BAÑOS AND AVENUE OF THE WATERFALLS

This is a three-day tour loaded with fantastic scenery. The Cotopaxi volcano, the Salasaca weavers and waterfalls near Baños will be your eye candy as you enjoy the cloud forest and hot springs around this quaint village.

Day 1, Quito–Cotopaxi–Baños:

After enjoying an early breakfast, the tour will depart Quito heading south through the famous “Avenue of the Volcanoes.” Almost midday we will arrive in the National Park, which is located 59.54km away from the city of Quito. CCotopaxi - Llama - 
Chuquiragua otopaxi Volcano is one of the most important landmarks of in Ecuador because it is the highest active volcano in the world.  Lush endemic flora and fauna of the area can be observed, including: one of the most representative species, the Chuquiragua (also known as the mountaineer’s flower), wild horses, deers, llamas, and more. While there, you can visit Limpiopungo Lake, located near Rumiñahui volcano (149.96 meters), or go hiking to observe the birds. We can also visit the ruins of Incas del Pucara de Salitre, set on Cotopaxi’s mountainside.

Lunch will be optional before we head toward the village of Baños, which is located at the foot of Tungurahua, an active volcano and impressive attraction. Tungurahua is the reason for the area’s wonderful hot springs. En-route we will visit the fascinatingly indigenous Salasaca community before settling in to your accommodations in the early evening.

Day 2, Baños Free Day:

After breakfast you will have a free day, with optional lunch and dinner and overnight accommodations in Baños.

Day 3, Baños–Quito:


After breakfast in Baños, we will take a short tour and visit the center. The city enjoys a pleasant subtropical zone climate. Activities in BañosLater, we begin the route of waterfalls, including Agoyan, Heaven´s Door (Puertas del Cielo), Wedding´s Veil (Manto de la Novia), Devil´s Pan (Pailón del Diablo), Machay, and many more.

Mid-afternoon we will depart to Quito. On the way we can stop at different villages, such as Pelileo, Ambato (also known as the City of the Flowers and Fruits), continuing our trip heading north as we pass through Salcedo and Machachi before getting to Quito.

We will arrive back in Quito in the early evening, dropping you at your hotel for an optional dinner and free evening.
